Declaration by the Manufacturer regarding implementation of RoHS and WEEE
EVPÚ a s., Trenčianska 19, 018 51 Nová Dubnica, Slovak Republic, is the producer of the static converters and the similar power equipment. We offer our products and services for converters, traction drives, rectifiers and control systems. These products are in use worldwide in railway applications, security and observation systems and in the other specialised industrial branches.
These products are exclusively used in industrial applications and they are not mentioned in the appendix 1A of WEEE, therefore they are not subject to Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in the electrical and electronic equipment or Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE) on waste electrical and electronic equipment.
Our diagnostic and control units represent an exception to this because they can be assigned to the area of IT equipment as defined by the appendix 1A of the aforementioned directives. We have implemented all the appropriate regulations and we are only supplying new products in accordance with the aforementioned directives. These units will be identified with the crossed-out waste bin symbol.
Because the environmental care has a high place value for us we are also for products in industrial applications currently demanding that our suppliers issue a confirmation – whenever possible – that the components they manufacture for our products do comply with RoHS. For certain products, where it is required by the nature of the technological process, we will keep for the time being the proven method of soldering with lead-tin alloy at the production of PCBA´s. We assume that these products are disposed of professionaly in the industrial area.
It goes without saying that the legal requirements based on implemented EU Directives covering the use of hazardous substances will continue to be adhered to.
